Steve completely missed the swagger. He just didn't see that sort of thing, even when it was directed at him.
He turned and picked up his own, simple tool, and started back in the ground again. They were digging holes to plant some new bushes, and it was a little tedious. But it felt good.
"See, you put the sharp, pointy end in the ground, then scoop the dirt out." He smirked.
