Considering the idea that Peter wasn't her father had never truly occurred
to Annie. It hit her in the chest like a baseball. Annie understood enough
to know that a 16 year-old version of Peter Parker wasn't "her" dad, but
Annie figured he would grow up to be him.
"So..." She said at barely a whisper. "You're saying... Peter's not my dad
in the future?"
