Raising his hands disarmingly, Tony made a slow approach to the aggrieved animal. Bending over, he brushed the debris off its furry hide, lifting it into his arm.

"Yeah, this is the bone I wanted the universe to throw me. A cat." He murmured, grooming the jet-black fur of any splinters with his fingers. It was the least he could do.

He checked for a tag, or some other indicator of ownership. No good. "Have a name, little..." Lifting it by the scruff, he peered beneath its tail. "Guy?"
