The sheer novelty of feeling bad about someone's suffering kept Loki occupied for several seconds.
Then he jumped off the bed and bounced back to the couch and onto Stark. He settled himself in the middle of the man's back, precisely in the place that would be hardest for arms or hands to reach.
Then he started to purr. There were limits to pity.
