“They should call you God of Miserliness.” Tony piped up the very second he and Thor were left to their own devices by Maria Hill and company, gesturing after them. “See? They’re going where the party is. I’m gonna follow.” From the moment Thor mentioned smuggling some brew aged for god knows how long from god knows where made from god knows what...JUST to rub it in Tony Stark’s face that he didn’t possess the mettle for it, but Steve Rogers did?

Unforgivable. He could forgive the remarks about Pepper due to how laughably and pathetically misinformed they were, but holding out on the host was just an utter insult.

"Bruce only ever had eyes for you anyway," Thor says. He downs the rest of the glass, briefly deliberates handing it back to Tony, but remembers what he said about being handed things and sets it down on the rim of the tub instead. "He isn't even here, so a ménage à trois is outside of the realm of possibility anyway."

"In all seriousness, doubt it. His heart was паук shaped, if you catch my drift." Tony slid the glass back into his grip.

"I have no idea what you're talking about." Thor shifts his hands back into Tony's hair, massaging his fingers over his scalp.

"I swore he was gonna elope with Natasha towards the end, there. ...Before he chartered himself a one-way flight off earth, anyway." Tony heaved a great sigh. Bruce wasn't allowed near the quinjets for the rest of his life.

Ah.

"Well, I found him and he's back now," Thor says. He leans down to press a kiss against the nape of Tony's neck, "But I don't know if marriage is in the cards for them now. Two years is a really long time for humans."

Something Thor knows from experience.

"Then you've got your in." Tony's lips quirked before his expression went blank, finishing off the small bottle. When Thor's lips lingered, he brought himself back to the present and squirmed sideways, returning the gesture with a kiss to his temple.

"Thanks."

"What?"

Thor doesn't quite snap out of his confusion until Tony kisses his temple, and then he finds he's confused all over again.

"For what?"

"You and Bruce are both still rockin' the single life back home, right?" He said it all in his light, wry tone, but he'd sooner see his two teammates together if that would lend them any peace.

"Thanks, as in...thanks for rockin' the married life with me in here."

"I don't think there's going to be much room for marriage or romance after I get out of here," he says. With Bruce, or anyone else. "But being here with you right now, like this..." Thor lets out a breathy laugh. "...I start to wonder what I've been doing the last 1500 years of my life."

'That's just cheating.' Abandoning the liquor, Tony brought his leg up and over Thor's head in a familiar gesture, tugging him down. "C'mere."

Thor allows himself be pulled down by his husband. Tony could probably do whatever he wanted right now, and he'd allow it.

"You know what you just did, right? No lab. No Thanos. No Infinity Stones. No AI. I'm sleeping here. I don't know how long. But I'm staying here." The nook of the bridge of his nose slotted against Thor's, warmth and wine the whole of Tony's existence.

"When I drift off each night, I want to dream about you."

More often than not, Thor dreams of Tony. Sometimes, it's not just him that he thinks dreams about. The other Avengers are there with them, or his parents, or the Warriors Three and his hair is long and the color of his eyes still match one another. But much of the time, it's just them as they are right now. Thor has his mismatched eyes and the shorn hair and though he looks rougher than he has in a thousand years, he's happier than he's ever been.

Thor folds his large arms over Tony. He wants to go back -- he needs to, but he knows already that there's going to be some part of him that longs for what's here and now.

So he's going to let himself be.

Thor kisses him and though he doesn't even mean to, he gives Tony a squeeze in that moment. He doesn't want to let go of him for as long as he lives.

And Thor will do everything he can to make sure it's a very long time.

The water shifted and splashed as they leaned and moved, pink bubbles rolling about all around them. Tony cleared his throat when breathing became laborious, pushing his head back against Thor’s.

“Valentines, coming right up. Let’s honeymoon it.”

Thor hums in obvious pleasure.

"What are you thinking?" he asks running a single finger up and down the back of Tony's neck.

"Day by day." Not making plans was an idea that filled Tony with trepidation but an utter wave of relief.

Tony's answer satisfies Thor.

"You going to let me wash your back?"

[st_arkravinghazelnut]

"I'll let you do more than that if you're polite." Tony swiveled on the man's lap, leaning forward, blowing a few bubbles out of his way. "Mio bello uomo."

[st_ormbreaker]

"You know," Thor says, taking the bar of soap from the side of the tub. "Until we got together, I never would have thought you a romantic."

Thor stands corrected now.

"What would you have thought me, dare I ask." Eyes fluttering shut, Tony rested his cheeks on his palms.

[st_ormbreaker]

Thor lathers the soap in his hands before setting it aside to run his hands over his shoulders.

"I always thought you the sort that was hesitant to show how much he truly cared."

[st_arkravinghazelnut]

"Yeah. Well. I've got my own Love Language. The sweetest nothings are reserved for the missus or the mister. Oh God, right there." He rolled his shoulders back, encouraging Thor's attention towards a knot forming near his neck. As cynical as Tony Stark could be, romance resided somewhere preserved in his heart. His tendencies towards showiness and grand gestures, meanwhile, translated perfectly.

Thor's hands continue to move according to Tony's shifts and sounds, his strong hands massaging Tony's back and neck.

"Why don't you show this side of yourself to most people?"

[st_arkravinghazelnut]

"Does a bird of paradise dance for every face in the day?" Tony smirked at the air, purring beneath his husband's touch.

[st_ormbreaker]

"I feel sometimes that we are very different people." Thor continues massaging, urged on by Tony's reaction; Thor liked pleasing his husband, both in bed and out of it.
